Baseball in der DR macht Dich

besser jeden Tag

Hey Georg, we had a great time. Alfre Ruiz was great. He´s clearly well respected by everybody in the community and a hard worker. Ani (Housekeeper, cook) was wonderful, took really good care of us both. Ricky (gute Seele des Hauses) is a good kid who keeps the place in good shape. The coaches were super:

Jonelfri, Polanco and Carlito. They really helped Johann improve his pitching speed (78 mph now) and his batting speed. In the two games I saw Johann pitched very effectively against strong dominican opposition.  He also hit a homer in the game I saw. I think the kid was pitching 82-83 mph. Against a 19-year old who was throwing 90+ mph he held tough but struck out.

All in all Johann loved his experience and syas he´d like to go back. My only complaint would be that Johann had only 3 games in the 3 weeks we were there, but the last week was Easter so that´s understandable. I personally had a great time exploring and enjoying the beach…..thanks again.

PS: Johann O´Brien spielte 2 Tage nach seiner Rückkehr ein starkes PONY Qualifikationsturnier in Prag.
